Daniel Arthur (Danny) Graham

April 08, 2024

Daniel Arthur (Danny) Graham was born on August 13, 1949, in Lookeba to Ray and Alice (Robinson) Graham. He passed away on April 6, 2024, in Binger at the age of 74. Danny grew up in Eakly, where he met and married the love of his life, Frances Wilson, on May 21, 1971.

Danny loved Frances very much and thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, frequently calling her “Angel.” The couple moved to Oney in 1984 and raised their children there in the Binger-Oney community.

In his younger days, Danny enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, coon hunting, coon dogs, and game rooster but always enjoyed spending time with his family. When his grandchildren came along, he told everyone they were the best and became known as Papa Danny to them and everyone else.

He avidly supported the Binger Community and the Bobcats ball games. After he couldn’t drive to away games, the coaches would allow him to ride the bus with the kids to the games. He thought he was an assistant coach with no pay or filter, and all the coaches and players loved him. He worked as Co-Manager of the Eakly Coop Oney Branch until his health forced him to retire. Danny was selfless and always ensured everyone else was taken care of before himself, whether it was his children or his community. He enjoyed telling his son, Brandan, how to farm, calling daily, asking questions, and ensuring everything was done. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Survivors Include his wife, Frances Graham, of the home in Binger, along with his children, Jennifer Green and husband Kevin of Binger, Melissa Green and husband Randy of Fort Cobb, and Brandan Graham and wife Melonie of Binger, his grandchildren, Tyler Green, Dakota Green and wife Kourtney, Allison Blandamer and husband Logan, and Aubrie Graham. Siblings: Virginia Graham, Phyllis Self, and Sharon Atchley, along with several nieces and nephews, a host of Bobcat fans (grandchildren were Papa to all), and many other relatives and friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alice Graham, father-in-law Frank Wilson and Mother-in-Law Clara Wilson; his grandparents, Ethel Stephenson; his siblings Anthony and Raymond Graham, sister Carolyn Sue and husband Edwin Opitz; and brother-in-law Ray Self.
