Services for Levi Lesley Mitchell, 83, of Minco will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 2pm at the Hazel Dell Baptist Church NW of Minco, burial will follow at the Niles Cemetery 11700 S. Maple Road, Hinton, OK., under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
Levi Lesley Mitchell was born on July 3, 1941, at Purdy, Oklahoma, to Claud and Lula Allen (Collins) Mitchell. He died on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Binger Nursing and Rehabilitation in Binger, at 83 years of age.
Levi was raised in the Minco community, attending school there. He married Velta Lee Stahlman on March 5, 1960, at Binger, and made their home in Minco.
Levi was a longtime truck driver, enjoyed the many miles he spent traveling the highways throughout Oklahoma and Texas making friends along the way. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, attending family reunions and going to the casino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Lula Mitchell, wife Velta Lee on August 10, 2023, granddaughter Kristi Abbott, brothers, George “G” Mitchell, Hermon Mitchell, Sr., Charlie Mitchell, Fermon Mitchell, W.M. “Babe” Mitchell, L.B. “B” Mitchell, sisters, Sallie Reed, Lottie Cherry and Marie Putman
Levi is survived by his devoted family, daughters, Naoma Korn of Hinton, Terri Abbott and husband Jimmy of Anadarko, son, Curtis Mitchell and wife Sarah of Shawnee, brother, Watson Mitchell and wife Janice of Minco, sisters-in-law, Wanda Mitchell of Minco and Nola Stark of Hinton
